Our Services

1

Inclusive Dialogues

As a policy think tank, Zimbabwe Institute, (ZI), under the Zimbabwe Political Parties Dialogue, (ZPPD), facilitates inclusive dialogues with political parties with representation in Parliament, with a view to achieving consensus on issues of national interest. Through the ZPPD platform, ZI also supports work with women politicians and youth people across parties, advocating for inclusive processes that will enhance the number of women participating in politics, leadership and decision making as well as increased and effective youth political participation respectively.

2

Strategic Influencing and Advocacy

Working with the Heads of Civil Society Coalitions & Networks ZI facilitates advocacy efforts around proposed Bills. This involves coordinating an organic voluntary CSO Consortium consisting of over 60 organizations and engaging the state in dialogue processes aimed at creating a conducive operating environment for CSOs whilst preventing shrinking of the democratic civic space. A key highlight is work around the PVO BILL from its introduction in  2021 up to its enactment in April 2025.

3

Equality and Inclusion

With a long-standing partnership that spans over 16 years, ZI works with Parliament of Zimbabwe through the Zimbabwe Women and Youth Parliamentary Caucuses supporting work around promotion of women participation in politics through the HeForShe framework and additionally advocating for the inclusion of young people in developmental and democratic processes through annual events which include the Youth Inclusive Budget Conference and the Youth Model Parliament.
